Please call to place your order for desserts and pastries for your next dinner party or special event.  On the phone we can discuss items from the existing Dessert Menu or create something special to compliment your cuisine.  All desserts and pastries are made with as much local, organic, and all natural ingredients.  No event too small...if you are having a dinner party or luncheon for as few as ten guests, Dessert First! can provide a wonderful finish to compliment your meal.  


WEDDING & SPECIALTY CAKES
It is our goal to provide an amazing cake for your special event.  We pride ourselves on giving you the best tasting cake in town and are excited to design a one of a kind centerpiece for your particular event.

Consultation: To set up a consultation and cake tasting please call, 828.651.9660 or email me at kristin@eat-dessert-first.com.   At your appointment we will taste several of the cakes you have selected and peruse the many books, magazines, and portfolio photos.  Selecting and designing a cake for your wedding or special event is very personal and it is my goal that when you leave you will feel confident that the cake you have selected is exactly what you want for your special day.

Pricing of a wedding cake is dependant on the complexity of the flavors and design. Our prices begin at $2.95 per person for a simple cake with buttercream and fresh flowers (provided by the client).  Rolled fondant cakes begin at $3.95 per person which includes royal icing decorations.  In the event you add hand-crafted sugar flowers, bows & ribbons or leaves, the price will increase.  Minimum cake order is $375.00 which includes the consultation, tasting and delivery (specified below). 

Deposit & Payment Information:  50% of the price of the cake is due at the time of the order as deposit to secure the date, of that $100 is non-refundable.   If there are any changes to your order including the date we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee it based on the time of year, availability of ingredients, etc.  Payment in full is due one week before your event day.

Delivery:  Delivery is included within one hour of Fletcher, NC (approximately a 50 mile radius).  In the event of extreme weather (i.e. ice, snow or  freezing rain) delivery may be delayed or unfortunately cancelled.  All cakes can picked up from the bakery location in Fletcher (235 St. Johns Road, Suite G).

Cancellation Policy:  If the event is cancelled 60 days (or more) before the event date we will refund your deposit less the $100.00 non-refundable.  If your event is cancelled 30-59 days before the event date, we will refund 50% of the total due.  If the event is cancelled within 30 days we cannot offer any refund.
